Running a business is never easy — the long hours, the constant pressure to stay ahead, the emotional rollercoaster of wins and setbacks. It’s a path that demands everything from you: time, energy, focus, and resilience. But when you’re also raising a child with multiple disorders, the challenge multiplies in ways that are hard to put into words.
There’s no clear line between “work life” and “home life” when both require the same level of urgency and attention. Some mornings begin not with email or strategy sessions, but with medication routines, emotional regulation, or calming a meltdown before the day even begins. Client calls are sometimes cut short by urgent messages from school, or replaced entirely by last-minute doctor’s appointments. Deadlines shift not because of poor planning, but because my child needs me more than my business does — and that will always take priority.
Every day is a balancing act, and there’s no perfect formula. I’ve had to learn to pivot constantly — to move from business owner to advocate, to therapist, to parent, often all in the span of a single morning. And through it all, there’s an ever-present emotional weight: the worry, the guilt, the exhaustion, the moments of doubt when it feels like I’m not doing enough in either role.
And yet… despite the chaos, there’s clarity.
Raising a child with multiple disorders has taught me how to operate with fierce intention. It has shown me what truly matters. In a world where so many chase success for the sake of status, I’ve found a deeper kind of motivation: building a business not only to grow, but to create space — for my child, for my family, and for myself. Flexibility isn’t a perk in my life — it’s a necessity. It’s also something I now work hard to create for others who might be quietly carrying their own invisible burdens.
I’ve learned to be strategic with my time and more thoughtful about the energy I give away. I’ve developed systems that keep things moving even when life throws curveballs. I’ve learned the importance of boundaries, of saying no to things that don’t align with my values, and of giving myself permission to rest — not because I’ve “earned it,” but because rest is part of sustainability.
There are days when I feel like I’m standing at the edge of burnout. But then there are days when a small win in my business — a positive review, a new client, a finished project — feels monumental. Not just because it helps the business grow, but because it was achieved despite the odds. It reminds me that perseverance isn’t just something I talk about — it’s something I live.
And perhaps most importantly, my child has made me stronger. Not in the superhero sense — but in the quiet, steady kind of strength that comes from deep love, deep purpose, and showing up day after day, no matter what.
So, to every parent or caregiver who’s building a business while navigating a path filled with diagnoses, therapies, school battles, and sleepless nights — I see you. You are doing something incredibly hard. And incredibly brave. You are not failing — you are adapting, growing, and redefining what success looks like.
It’s not easy. But it is possible.
And even on the hardest days, that possibility is enough to keep going.

Just as a reminder It’s very uncommon to make exact same handmade pieces, there is always something different from the other. So, if something is already sold more than likely even if I try it may not be in stock again. All earrings in pictures may not look like the ones you receive as they are all unique. Pattern and textured designs will not be exactly as the other as they are cut in a handmade slab but will resemble each other.
Thank you, and Happy Shopping 😍
I do Donate a portion of sales to BACA Bikers Against Child Abase. This organization has helped me and my child to overcome a very hard time in our life. The Lord himself has given me this ability to create and put these hands to work so that if I could help to keep children from living in fear then I’m not holding back that passion. For as long as I’m able I will continue to make that dream true for me, my Child, and for so many others. So you can know that your contribution goes to an Awesome and Amazing Cause.
